Texas Music Legends Asleep at the Wheel Have a NEW album out!
Ray Benson is the frontman of the Western swing band Asleep at the Wheel, who have just released their new album Half a Hundred Years to celebrate 50 years of touring.
Ray joins me to discuss how the pandemic affected recording, how they’ve come to collaborate with a great number of well-known musicians such as George Straight, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Bill Kirchen or Lyle Lovett, as well as what his favorite part of being a musician is.
“If you’re a musician, your ears are much more important than your eyes.” - Ray Benson
