USA in a Civil War? Journalist Robert Evans has an Answer

My guest today is Robert Evans, Writer, Journalist, War Correspondent, Podcast Host with Cool Zone Media, Author, Activist and I’m hoping an optimist. He has also worked on numerous podcasts such as Behind the Bastards, Behind the Police, Behind the Insurrections, It Could Happen Here, The Women's War, Worst Year Ever, and The Assault on America Podcast, where he explores Donald Trump's big lie. Investigative journalist Robert Evans covered conflicts in Iraq, Ukraine, and Rojava, as well as on far-right extremists in the United States and the American political history.

Behind the Bastards has an amazing take on why there are a ton of documentaries of bad guys from Saddam Hussain’s side career or even to Hitler’s pets. The reason for that is that bad guys lead infinitely more interesting lives than the good guys, in fact, bad behavior build civilization if you think about it! Their bizarre lives can even beat the plot of even the strangest young adult novels. I mean, take for example Blackwater’s insane quest to build their own air force, that’s infinitely more interesting than how someone did what they’re supposed to and lead a boring life right?

He is here to discuss his novel “After The Revolution”, which is a fictional, bordering on non-fictional, story set in 2070 Texas, 20 years after an American Civil War. As I hear, there may be a sequel on the way as well. If bizarre realities (or not-so bizarre) are your thing then exploring his works are more than worth your time.

I’ve personally only scratched the surface of the novel so let's learn about it together. We’re also going to learn a bit about Robert, his career that led to writing this book, dive into the book itself to give you a taste, and talk about the accompanying podcast of the same name. And as always we'll parade around any other topics that come up such as being a former editor on Cracked and working with Cool Zone Media, a progressive podcast network, and in collaboration with executive producer Sophie Lichterman.

“The world’s broad stockpile of f***edupedness stays pretty constant.” - Robert Evans
